Taylor Rock Your Yearbook Video Contest
Taylor Publishing Company wants to know why your yearbook rocks! Create a short video including pictures and video clips, add some tunes, and submit to SchoolTube.com for your chance to win. Best of all, your music video will be the ultimate advertisement for your yearbook. Turn up the volume on your sales, and grab some prizes while your at it.

Grand Prize - Yearbook Distrubtion party or $1500 cash

Video Guidelines:

Video should be between 1:30 to 3 minutes

Include pictures taken by yearbook staff (feel free to use some of last year's photos)

May include video clips

Must use copyright free music

May include absolute awesomeness
How do I submit my entry:
Students and educators are required to Create a free SchoolTube account before uploading PSAs. Please allow 24 hours for registration to process.

Click the UPLOAD button at the top of the webpage.

Follow the simple steps below when prompted to ensure entry into the contest:

Fill in Title, Description and use these Tags: Rock Your Yearbook Sales

Important- Select for Category 1 "News & Journalism" then select subcategory "Rock Your Yearbook Sales Contest". This is where your video will be seen on SchoolTube once moderated by your teacher if they are registered.

Accept terms and browse to your video is uploaded in one of the formats listed. Then click upload. That's it, good luck!

Criteria

25% - Number of views (on SchoolTube) the video receives during the Viewing Phase.

25% - Creative message. The video should portray the personality of the student body and the school, as well as the creativity of the contestant.

20%- Use of creative music. Although the music used does not have to be original, it must be copyright free and should match the tone of the pictures, video and contest theme (Rock Your Yearbook Sales)

10%- Editing Style. Video should be edited in a way that fits the contestant's creativity.

10%- Use of video as a promotion for sales. The video should intrigue viewers and interest them in buying a yearbook.

10%- Overall Flow. Video should flow well from start to finish, include good use of transitions and music.
Tips for making it to the final round:

Post a link to your video on any social network you are a part of (Facebook, myspace, digg, twitter etc.) and send links to your friends and classmates

Talk to your Yearbook Advisor and principal about promoting your video at school to help you win a nationwide yearbook contest

Only include copyright free music, you can find some on Soundzabound.com or Freeplaymusic.com

If you have a video production staff at your school, have them help you out

Stay glued to SchoolTube.com and keep telling people about your video
