Serving Elementary and Middle-Level Principals
About NAESP
The mission of the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) is to lead in the advocacy and support for elementary and middle level principals as well as other education leaders in their commitment to all children.
A core focus of NAESP work is to ensure that principals have what they need to lead learning communities. NAESP is committed to providing the research, tools, learning experiences, and networking that enable NAESP members to understand and prepare students to be highly adaptive learners in a rapidly changing world.
Organization
NAESP is governed by a Board and led by Executive Directors that work at the Alexandria, VA home office. NAESP has State Affiliates that represent each state. The NAESP State Affiliates play a critical role in supporting principals across the country.
NAESP will host its 88th Annual Convention and Exposition in New Orleans, April 2-6, 2009. This is a joint session with the National After School Association. Both NAESP and NAA will hold their annual conventions in New Orleans at the convention center.
