Youth Don’t Care About Politics? Uh uh!!
VOICE YOUR VOTE, YOUTH!*
* since you must be 18 to cast a ballot

The last Presidential Debate was Wednesday, October 15, and only 20 days follow before a new President is elected. Many of the new President’s policies will have a lasting effect on the future, which is why young people want their voices heard, even if they can’t vote for their candidate of choice.
NFL and SchoolTube.com have worked together to give students a forum to defend their candidate of choice, in a quick sound bite of 60 seconds or less.
The first step is to register at SchoolTube.com (unless you already have an account there). Coaches/teachers can sign up as moderators so they can approve videos uploaded by their students (SchoolTube.com staff will verify legitimacy of those accounts before approving them).
Students: To get started, reflect on the debates or read position statements by your favored candidate, think critically about how you would respond to questions or frame those positions. You can choose your own topic/issue, but make sure you can respond in 60 seconds or less! It’s not a bad idea, either, to type out your response and practice a few times before recording.
All you need is your brain, a camera and a computer with Internet access to upload your video to SchoolTube.com. Each student may upload one videotaped statement, but must do so by 11:59 p.m., CST on Tuesday, October 21.
From October 22-26, you may view submitted videos (which follow the above guidelines) and rate your favorite.
Select videos will be featured on the NFL and SchoolTube.com home pages.

(Note: Educators/Moderators do not have to have their media reviewed; their videos will go live on SchoolTube as soon as they are processed. Student submissions will be moderated by an educator if one has registered at that school; if not, SchoolTube will moderate. You will be notified when your video is approved.)
You can check SchoolTube's help page for tips on uploading videos.
Here are some example videos discussing three topics (taxes, the war in Iraq, and education) and the candidate's positions.
Remember, your video only needs to cover one topic.
